What is Business Analysis?
We’re often asked what a Business Analyst does. It’s a great question! In short, a Business Analyst finds solutions to problems you know you have, as well as solutions to the problems you might not yet be aware of.
This can mean a lot of different things depending on the individual business and their situation but often when businesses come to us for help it’s because:
- They want to save money,
- They are growing or want to grow, and/or
- They have compliance or logistical problems.
Some examples of things that we’ve helped with are:
- Software selection - options and recommendation
- Hardware / networking recommendations for growth, consolidation, cost and/or security
- Process mapping, process improvement, process documentation
- Compliance - measuring adherence to relevant regulations, recommendations for improving compliance and managing breaches
- Quality Assurance - validating documention and process accuracy
- Documentation - identifing gaps and ensuring completeness for knowledge transfer
- Customer satisfaction improvement - identifying and resolving issues with end-to-end service delivery
- Reporting and results analysis - identifying the data and analysis required to assist management in making informed business decision.
